Mary Mac Corn Bread

Listen to Episode 25: Five Can Chili

Ingredients:

  • 1 c unbleached flour
  • 1 c cornmeal
  • 1/4 c raw sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c milk
  • 1/4 c melted butter

Directions:

  • Mix dry ingredients.
  • Add eggs, milk, and butter. Mix batter until just smooth.
  • Bake in greased 9x9x2 or 9” round baking pan or 9” cast iron skillet at 425°F for 20-25 minutes.
  • Serve warm with honey.
