- 1 lb loose breakfast sausage (lean), cooked and crumbled into small pieces
- 1 c milk
- 2 Tbs flour
- 1 Tbs butter
- dash of salt
- dash of pepper
- Melt butter in a pan on medium low heat. Add flour and whisk.
- When well-blended, add milk and continue to whisk. Cook over low heat until thick.
- When thickened, add cooked sausage and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve over biscuits.
- To freeze: Allow to cool, place in a freezer container.
